IFAPP Academy – King’s College London, Medical Affairs in Medicines Development, Certification Program

IFAPP Academy developed its certification to better prepare those who are seeking a competency-based education with a curriculum that aligns with today’s evolving industry standards.

This program is a unique partnership between academia, industry, and professional associations aimed to foster competencies and improve performance in medical affairs and medicines development.

 

Transfer credits:

Graduates of the course who later wish to apply for, and are accepted into, an MSc at King’s College London in either Drug Development Science or Medical Affairs, will be awarded credit transfers for 30 credits and 60 credits respectively (out of a total 180).

Important note:  to be eligible to receive academic credits from King’s College London (KCL), students must include the invitation code they received from KCL in the requested area on the application.  Additional instructions can be found in the ‘How to Apply’ section.

Certification:

All students successfully completing the course will receive a Certificate granted by King’s College London and IFAPP Academy and a Professional Certification granted by IFAPP and the IFAPP Academy. The use of post-nominal letters (CMD) to attest certification will be awarded.

 

A successful prospective student profile:

  • Graduate/postgraduate education in biomedical sciences
  • One year of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and/or medicines development activities
  • Aspiration to grow in the Medical Affairs function
  • Proven command of the English language
  • Commitment to spend 5-12 hours weekly for home study related to each lecture
  • Willing to participate in synchronous webinars (4 per module – 6 modules total per year)

*Students must provide a personal invitation code from King’s College London to qualify for this preferred rate

 

 

To be eligible to receive academic credits from King’s College London, applicant’s must follow the below steps when completing the online program application.

The Program Application contains dynamic fields; therefore, questions shown are dependent on user input.

  1. In the ‘Payment Details’ section of the application, select ‘Self’ as the Responsible Party.
  2. Applicant’s will then be asked if they received a personal invitation code from King’s College London, select ‘yes.’
  3. Enter in the invitation code from King’s College London. Be sure to not include any spaces before or after the code to prevent error.
  4. Applications for the 2022 academic year are due by Dec. 6, 2021.
