Dr. Kamlesh Thakker PhD, MBA is currently Principal in his company Notting Hill Consulting LLC, which provides consulting services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and financial services companies in the areas of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs, Phase I-IV Clinical Pharmacology, PK-PD, and Bioequivalence/Biopharmaceutics.
At Abbvie/Abbott, Kamlesh individually led/managed teams responsible for Medical Affairs strategy and tactics from clinical development to launch to on-market, across several indications/products/development candidates in the Dyslipidemia, Renal, and Immunology Therapeutic Areas (TAs).
Prior to Abbott/Abbvie Kamlesh briefly worked as Medical Affairs and Clinical Development contractor/consultant for Sanofi for their Insulin franchise (Lantus/Apidra) in the US Diabetes Business Unit. He has similar peri/pre-launch/launch Cardiovascular Medical Affairs and Clinical Development experience from his years at Pfizer with the Hypertension and Lipids on-market franchise products.
While at Pfizer, Kamlesh also worked for in a Medical Affairs role for development candidates across different TAs within the New Product Development Department. Kamlesh’s Phase I-IV Clinical Pharmacology/Early Development/PK-PD/Biopharmaceutics experience leading to several successful prosecutions of NDAs and sNDAs across different TAs, as well as FIH studies for CNS pipeline development candidates, was accomplished over many years at Pfizer, Ciba-Geigy and at softgel manufacturer Banner Gelatin Products.
Kamlesh has presented and published extensively during his career and has received numerous citations and awards over the years while working with Abbvie/Abbott, Pfizer, Ciba-Geigy and Banner Gelatin.
