Jacqui Piner is a Director at GlaxoSmithKline providing drug discovery and development consultancy to GSK’s external collaborators, ranging from single-item consultation, through to more ongoing engagement with a program of work, which includes scientific delivery and access to GSK’s extensive expert networks.
In addition, Jacqui leads scientific due diligence on assets or external company competencies delivering an integrated position and risk assessment strategy. Jacqui has 27 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry having previously worked in a variety of roles in nonclinical safety assessment. She holds a Ph.D. in Reproductive Toxicology from University of Edinburgh, is an EU registered Toxicologist and a Chartered Biologist.
She has a keen interest in sharing science with all levels from young school children as a STEM ambassador through to professional development. She is an active member of the British Andrology Society (BAS) and British Toxicology Society (BTS). In 2011, she was given a visiting Senior Lecturer position from the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, King’s College London, was elected as a Fellow of the Society of Biology in 2013 and a GSK Fellow in 2016.
