Advocating improved patient outcomes and access across international markets, Pravin brings a worldwide, stakeholder-oriented perspective of the healthcare and biopharmaceutical medical, clinical, and regulatory process. Overseeing global medical affairs operations, development, and clinical research activities, Pravin has facilitated the delineation of regional treatment practices, guidelines, and healthcare policy.  He takes keen interest in promoting ethics, transparency, medical education, and consumer awareness, and believes in advancing regional innovation and therapeutic solutions, and forging public-private partnerships, while emphasizing patient value.

At Boehringer Ingelheim, as Executive Director, Therapeutic Area Head, Clinical Development and Medical Affairs, Pravin drives strategic medical and scientific direction for clinical development and commercialization, with emphasis on optimizing patient access and relationship management.

Previously, as Head, Medical and Scientific Affairs, Emerging Markets, Asia, with Amgen, Pravin established its scientific footprint, while building the regional medical organization, expertise, systems, and capabilities, promoting stakeholder engagement, and driving strategic business development activities.

Earlier on, as Head, Medical and Regulatory Affairs, India, and Senior Director, South Asia, with Sanofi, Pravin directed the medical, regulatory, and clinical operations team, in shaping the business, spanning biopharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, nutraceuticals, and rare diseases.

In prior roles, at Pfizer, as Head of Medical Affairs, Primary Care, Emerging Markets, Pravin led the development and implementation of the overall medical and clinical strategy, across more than 70 emerging markets, driving globally-aligned, regional needs and priorities. He also oversaw the establishment of Pfizer’s global clinical research policies, processes, and standards.

Over the years, Pravin has built medical leadership, nurtured talent, promoted stakeholder value, and championed the voice of the patient, with an emphasis on underserved emerging markets.
