Dr Bill Lam graduated in medicine at the University of Bristol, UK, in 1987. He subsequently completed his PhD in autonomic neuroscience, and was a Fellow of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Melbourne, Australia. He was a consultant clinical evaluator for the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia in the 1990s.
Bill has worked in Pfizer for almost 20 years. He joined Pfizer Australia in 1999 as Associate Medical Director, before becoming Regional Medical Director for Japan/Asia in 2004. In 2009, he was Development Lead for Primary Care in Emerging Markets. In 2014, he became Vice President, Regional Medical Affairs in Asia Pacific for Global Innovative Pharma. In 2016, he was the Global Medical Affairs Strategic Transformation Lead in Pfizer Essential Health. Since 2017, he has been the Director of Clinical Site Management in Pfizer Australia & New Zealand.
